Festival Make-Up From M.A.C
So festival season will soon be in full swing as summer is fast approaching. What does that mean for our make-up bags? EeeK! A re-think of a few key items so we continue to look fresh, clean and crisp into the long evenings and hopefully….. not smudged, dirty and a wash-out!
The key to festival chic is longevity, waterproof/resistant, multi-purpose and finally fun.
First and foremost for clean and gentle cleansing on the face, the occasional ‘disco’ wash and random spillage of food/drink, M.A.C Wipes will be your saviour. Durable, soft and a small pack will fit in an average sized handbag.
For the ultimate cheat for skin try M.A.C Strobe Cream, it continues to be an essential at festivals as it cleverly gives tired and hungover skin a glow. A recent addition to the M.A.C foundation range, Pro Longwear Foundation is sure to be popular this year at festivals. Its medium coverage, matte finish and long lasting staying power on the skin will be sure to keep many rockers and ravers looking perfect skinned into the night.
For eyes at festivals I think go wild. Try colour, different shapes, bright liner, it’s the one of the few occasions it’s deemed acceptable and cool. My favourite products to use are M.A.C Fluidline Eyeliner as its waterproof and come in a range of neutral and bright shades. It can be used to create normal liner or more creative shapes with a M.A.C #209 Liner Brush.
M.A.C Powerpoint Eye Pencils are also fun and easy to apply and can be blended on the eye to create bright or smoky effects. They are also waterproof and very portable.
M.A.C Splashproof Mascara is a must to finish your eye make-up so a surprise rain shower doesn’t finish you and ruin your colourful creation.
To finish this look I’m a huge fan of two options that can both be duo use. A M.A.C Cremeblend Blusher makes an amazing lip colour and stays very well on the skin. Or a bright vibrant lipstick like M.A.C Girl About Town Lipstick (a cool fuschia) or M.A.C Vegas Volt Lipstick (a hot coral) will double nicely as a cream blusher. Both can be applied with a clean finger tip or straight from the tube.
This should hopefully ensure your festival photo album contains only gorgeous prints and is a season to remember…….Have fun!!
